A very good friend of mine is offering me and other friends a free overnight stay at Country Club! The problem is the erratic schedule of the other girlies! Both of us are already decided to make the Baguio trip happen, and friends please understand I want to spend it with you badly!!! Minsan na nga lang ‘to before all of us get too busy
We’ve been planning this even before the start of first sem so let’s make this happen :”’(
On other news, spending Christmas in Baguio is also crossed out from the list mainly because our family friend there will be spending their holiday in Cebu. So, no place for us to stay. Well, I don’t really care or I was not even disheartened when i heard the ‘bad’ news because I knew, as in my guts told me beforehand, that plan will be a fail which actually proves true (lesson learned: trust your gut-feel). Whew. Plan for NOW (this plan is subject to change, trust me) is to go there next weekend, on the 18th. Hmm shet baka maudlot plans haha. pleaaaseeeee guuuyys.
Anyway, last night was Brownies Night. I have yet to master this or better yet I have to look for BETTER recipes.
Okay, this particular brownie recipe I got from The Best of The Maya Kitchen Recipes. I should’ve searched the net for a better one though. I’m not too happy with this recipe. I’m still thinking whether I should post the recipe or not, given I don’t advise you to follow this recipe. So, no. No recipes for you guys. I will find a better, chewier, more delicious brownie recipe. I think the best brownies I have tasted are:
(1) KFC’s brownies- I like the almost capucinno/coffee taste in the brownies. It’s chewy and just delish
(2) Lola’s (Joey’s grandma) home-made brownies- Rej, Ria, Arlene and Paul were lucky enough to have a bite of these yummy treats. And they couldn’t get enough, but of course I have to leave some for Joey, since I was just the delivery girl for the brownies hehe
Why I don’t like Maya Kitchen’s recipe:
(1) Its texture is too cake-y for my taste. A dense chocolate cake texture
(2) It is not chewy
(3) I’ve followed the recipe correctly and I think it lacks sweetness
I’ll try out other recipes soon. Mission in Baguio: Lure Joey’s grandma into giving me her secret brownie recipe!
nakakatakam! penge!!!
